The Twilight Self-guided Movie Set Tour will be printed in the Experience New Moon Weekend Guide, published by The Chronicle newspaper. It will be available in that week’s paper, at the event in downtown St Helens and several businesses around town. It includes a map of the movie set locations and details about what was filmed there. Signs will also be out that weekend to help visitors find the locations.

Several scenes from the movie Twilight were filmed in St Helens. Many people don’t realize just how many. The downtown area was used for backdrop as Edward and Bella sped through Port Angeles. There were seven key scenes filmed in St Helens, the most notable being the Swan house.

Here’s a quick overview:

The Swan House – Home to Chief of Police Charlie Swan and his daughter Bella.

Petite Jolie Dress Shop – Where the girls go in Port Angel to buy their prom dresses.

Thunderbird & Whale Bookstore – Bella buys a book about Quileute legends.

Alley and Parking Lot – This is where some rowdy frat boys harass Bella and Edward comes to her rescue.

The Bloated Toad Restaurant – Edward and Bella have their first date and some very pivotal conversation.

Forks High School Office and Piano Scene – Both scenes were filmed at the St Helens High School and couldn’t be more opposite. The office scene is when Edward is trying to switch classes to get away from Bella. In the piano scene he plays Bella’s Lullaby that he wrote for her.

The Twilight Music Girls

Join us Saturday, November 21 for a special concert featuring The Twilight Music Girls following a screening of New Moon. The Twilight Music Girls are a group of 5 friends with a love of music. When they read Twilight, they all fell in love with it so much that they each wrote a song about the book, hence the Twilight Music Girls were born. Now they are touring the country sharing their love of the books with fans everywhere.

Portland Movie Tours

Portland Movie Tours will doing a special tour just for the Experience New Moon weekend. Watch the movie Twilight as your tour guides take you on a bus ride to movie sites rarely seen in Vernonia, OR. Then back to the Columbia Theater at 212 S 1st Street in St. Helens for a screening of New Moon.

The small town of Vernonia was made over to be Forks, WA in Twilight. You’ll recognize many of the sites, including the old cobblestone Rock Creek Bridge that Bella and Charlie each drive over and the bank building used for the iconic Forks Police Station. Locals tell funny stories of the day they drove into town to find the “Welcome to Forks” sign and all of the buildings renamed for Forks businesses.

The Volturi are the vampire royalty of Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight Saga. They represent the oldest, most powerful and extravagant of the vampires. This ball will be fitting for a Volturi but made for humans.

The setting will be old world Italy with a hint of vampire atmosphere. Guests will enjoy pale white, ice cold desserts and Edward’s Blood sparkling punch served from a fountain. Then they will enjoy dancing and fun while Twilight themed music plays in the background.

Come dressed as your favorite Twilight character or in evening simi-formal or formal wear. Many guests will be dawning their renaissance gowns in honor of the Volturi. There will be a star look-a-like contest and costume contest.
